when i looked up to the skies
i coud see a hundred lights 
i coud feel a thousand smiles

some cross of wood 
some cross of steel

i feel the heat

when i marveled at the skies
i used to see more stars
and here was dark at night

i cudn't see any lights

and i noticed they where not up high
